Since 1995, long before she founded the
nonprofit organization, Fix the Hurt, Linda King has worked tirelessly
with shelters in assisting the homeless, specifically those who have
become so, due to domestic violence. 
Linda and her husband, John were deeply affected with the death of
their daughter, Lisa, in 2001, as the result of a nine-year abusive
relationship, Since Lisa’s death, Linda and John, have been actively
engaged in educating military personnel, community leaders, teens,
prison inmates, and civic groups about domestic violence.
